About Me

As a proud member of the Ingalls family, whose stories inspired the Little House on the Prairie books and television series, I have dedicated myself to continuing the legacy Laura Ingalls Wilder began. I’ve written two books chronicling the fourth and fifth generations of our family, and, like Laura, I share our history through both traditional media and modern platforms, including this blog and monthly publication work.

I’ve always believed the enduring strength of Laura’s writing came from her ability to portray the everyday lives of an average American family living through extraordinary moments in our nation’s history. The truth is, we all live fascinating lives in our own ways, yet too often our stories go untold, forgotten with time. My hope is to change that.

Through the process of writing my first two books, I discovered something both surprising and bittersweet: after just two generations pass, many of us become unrecognizable in photographs, and our own descendants can share little about the lives we lived. I refuse to accept that our stories, our lessons, and our humanity should be lost so easily.

This blog exists to capture and preserve those narratives, stories of everyday Americans, meaningful moments, shared values, and topics that enrich and inspire us. By bringing these stories to life, I hope to strengthen the threads that connect our past to our present.

At the heart of Laura’s work, and at the core of this endeavor, are foundational values: honesty, integrity, and the courage to do the right thing simply because it is right.

I invite you to enjoy the articles here and to read this blog the way my grandparents once read the daily newspaper, with curiosity, reflection, and a sense of connection.

Welcome, and thank you for being part of this ongoing story.
